Black History Month is the time in which we celebrate historical African American people, events and culture.
Welcome to the most bodacious month of the year and even though it is the shortest month of the year; February is going to be beyond amazing. Tuesday’s Love Jones will be dedicated all month long to what love must have been like in the days of our forefathers. If you’ve watched Hollywood spaghetti version you may have seen a snippet of the sorrow that could have taken place in 2013’s, five Oscar nominated Django Unchained
Here at Put A Wedge In It Blogs; we want to share stories of triumphant love that weathered even the storms of slavery, So join us all month long as we explore sex, relationships and family during the time periods of 1619 when the first African slaves arrive in Virginia to 1863 when President Lincoln issues the Emancipation Proclamation, declaring “that all persons held as slaves” within the Confederate state “are, and henceforward shall be free.”
These posts will be just as enlightening as our 2012 celebration…
